The Audit and Finance Committee support and advise the National Board of GirlGuiding New Zealand on the organisation’s financial management and long-term financial viability. We are seeking applications for selection to a position on the Audit and Finance Committee. If you have strong financial literacy, good commonsense and enthusiasm for GirlGuiding, you may be the person we need. It is not necessary to be an accountant or a member of GGNZ – so please feel free to share this vacancy with your network!
The position would be held for a term of three years which may be renewed for one further term of three years. There are four meetings per year (either in person or via videoconference) to review the financial statements and budget, and then potentially other meetings, video calls or email correspondence as required.
Areas of oversight for the Audit and Finance Committee include Financial Management, Investments, External Audit and Financial Reporting, Risk Management and Property Management.
