There are other ways to be involved in Guiding too...

If you can't make it to weekly meetings, then you can be part of our online Aotearoa programme or come along to our pop-up community events that run over weekends or school holidays.

5-17 years

The Community Programme offers one-off themed events covering girl-driven topics like STEM, financial literacy and outdoor adventures that are designed to challenge girls in a variety of environments.

  • Events are open to all girls (not just Guiding members)
  • One day events during a weekend or school holidays
  • Events are tailored specifically to girls age groups and interests
5-17 years

Aotearoa units deliver GirlGuiding in a whole new way. If you can’t attend a local unit for any reason, Aotearoa can deliver the programme via post, email, online - or even by text.

  • Perfect if you live far away from the nearest unit
  • Great if you are at boarding school
  • If you have other activities on the night your local unit meets
