Our girls LOVE the outdoors and adventure! We provide them and our volunteers with the right training and leadership opportunities where they get first-hand experience in a variety of situations, so they can safely enjoy their outdoor adventures.
To kick-off Get Outdoors Week (20-28 November) – an annual campaign led by the Mountain Safety Council (MSC) to encourage people to embrace the amazing countryside that Aotearoa has to offer and get active – we thought we’d give our girls and volunteers an opportunity to participate in the challenge. Throughout the GO Week, you can send in the pictures of your outdoor fun and adventure at GirlGuiding New Zealand at photos@ggnz.org.nz. We will be sharing the best pictures on our social platforms to show how fun our outdoor activities are for girls and volunteers.
GO Week is a great opportunity to make a concerted effort to get outdoors. GO Week isn’t about climbing mountains or tramping hills – it can be as easy as going for a walk outdoors with your family, friends, pets, or by yourself.
See what our Girls usually do at GirlGuiding New Zealand. Get ready to go outdoors (by following covid-19 restrictions and updates) this November and share your pictures with us on photos@ggnz.org.nz! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all the awesome things our girls do!
