Guiding Leader!

Our volunteer Guiding Leaders come from a wide range of places, ages, and backgrounds.

They all share a desire to use their skills and passion to give back to their community and help build happy, confident and resilient young women.

That’s what Guiding is all about!

When you volunteer to be a Guiding Leader, you’ll get:

  • All the training and resources you need (no Guiding experience required!)
  • Full ongoing support from our local and national Guiding teams
  • Flexibility to choose where and when you engage with your girls
  • Options to lead girls on your own, or pair up to co-deliver your programme with another Leader
  • Choice of the age group(s) of girls you work with
  • Input into your programme content, so you can make sure girls get the benefit of your skills and experience

From a personal perspective, you’ll also get:

  • Lasting connections with other Guiding Leaders locally and around NZ
  • Full ongoing support from our local and national Guiding teams
  • Opportunities to build on your leadership skills
  • Valuable experience within the non-profit sector
  • The knowledge you’re making a real, tangible impact on girls’ lives!

Are We a Good Fit?

You absolutely DON’T need any previous experience with Guiding to become a Leader. In fact, 80% of our new Leaders have no history with Guiding!

You DO need to have a few hours a week to deliver the programmes. And you DO need to be in a position to commit to at least one full year of Guiding.

Interested? Please fill in the enquiry form below and we’ll be in touch!
