Staffing Update

Kia ora koutou

I have some exciting news to kick start our Monday – the recent focus on recruitment has paid off and we have some great new people joining us over the next few weeks:

Amanda-Jane Pepper – Having worked with us on a contract basis for several months, Amanda-Jane officially joins the staff team today as the Marketing & Communications Manager. Amanda-Jane’s passion, enthusiasm, background, and skill set will be a huge asset in this role, and we can’t wait to see what she does with it.

Karen Davies – Karen will be joining us on the 17th of July as the Guiding Experience Administrator working 20 hours per week. An experienced administrator, Karen also has fond memories of her time as a Brownie and is excited to be working for an organisation that aligns with her own values.

Ruth Seabright – Joining us on the 25th of July as the Business Support Lead, Ruth has a rich and diverse career history and has an understanding of the realities and challenges of working in a ‘for purpose’ organisation. Ruth is a values-driven person with a kind and generous nature, savvy and creative, and enjoys thinking outside the square and challenging traditional models.

Pamela Coleman – Our Guiding Experience Lead joins us on the 1st of August. A Brownie, Ranger, and then Leader whilst growing up in Scotland, Pamela has a huge appreciation for all that we offer. She brings to us 20+ years of experience as a primary teacher, librarian, and leader, and is particularly skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Sadly, on 13th July, we will be saying goodbye to Karina Davidson – our Outdoor & Volunteer Development Coordinator. Having spent almost seven years with Guiding, Karina has decided it’s time for pastures new and is moving on to a new role. We wish Karina every success for the future, and thank her whole heartedly for all she has achieved during her Guiding career.
