Yes. Our leaders will work with families to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, and medical conditions wherever possible and our leaders hold first aid qualifications. In some cases, parents or caregivers may be asked to provide suitable alternatives so their child can safely participate in activities.
Please inform your child’s leaders of any dietary, allergy, or medical needs when they join the unit, or as soon as any new requirements arise. Many of our programmes include cooking and baking activities, so it is important that leaders are aware of any food-related allergies or dietary restrictions. This helps us plan activities appropriately and create a safe, inclusive environment for everyone.
Yes. We welcome neurodivergent children and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all girls can participate, learn, and thrive.
We encourage open communication with parents and caregivers so we can understand your child’s individual needs and work together to support their participation in our programme. Depending on the level of support required, a parent, caregiver, or support person may need to attend alongside your child to assist them during activities.
Our leaders do their best to create a supportive environment that promotes empathy, inclusion, and positive experiences for all members. If you would like to discuss your child’s specific needs before joining, please contact your local unit leader or email us on join@ggnz.org.nz
