The Abel Tasman Tramping Discovery

The Abel Tasman Tramping Discovery is an opportunity for Rangers aged 12 ½ and over (but under 18 as of 1 May 2021) to tramp and explore the stunning golden beaches and native forest along the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. This is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks situated at the top of the South Island about one hour from Nelson. A reasonable level of fitness is needed. The Discovery will start and finish in Nelson.

Cost: $500 – You will be invoiced a $150 deposit as soon as you complete your registration on OGM. This must be paid within 7 days to confirm your place on the tramp. The final $350 will need to be paid before 25 February 2021. This includes:

• Five nights’ accommodation
• All meals (from Dinner Monday 26 April through to dinner on Friday 30 April) except breakfasts for which you will bring your own choice
• Transport to and from the start and finish of the track
• Transport between airport/bus depot and Nelson accommodation
• Two-hour scenic cruise along the coastline from Kaiteriteri to Totaranui
• Pack liner
• Admin fee
