A lot has been happening behind the scenes as we continue preparing for Awa2027 and we’re excited to share a few updates with you!
We’re still looking for more adult Volunteers. 
Our Jamboree team is growing, but we would like more adults to help make this event all it can be. We are particularly looking for volunteers with an interest or experience in the following areas:
Health Transport
Safety Site & Equipment
Welfare Security
If you, or someone you know, would like to be part of one of these teams, we’d love to hear from you/them. Every additional volunteer helps us deliver a more enjoyable experience for our young people.

Kit Lists and Ranger Tent Information Available Now!
The Jamboree kit lists are now available on our website.
We’ve also published information about Ranger tents and what sorts are available at present. The Jamboree website has all the latest participant information and resources.
Equipment Required
To run an event of this size, we need all the camping equipment available around the country to come to Jamboree. If your unit is yet to share the details of the equipment you have on hand, can you please do that as soon as possible via email.
GirlGuiding New Zealand will be purchasing a small number of tents that will be held at Jamboree for emergency purposes. After the event, these tents will be allocated out to regions however only those units who have provided their equipment details above will be in the running to receive the new gear.
Remember, registrations remain open until 1 October 2026, so there is still time to join us at Jamboree Awa2027!
If you know someone who has been considering attending, please encourage them to register before 1 October 2026.
Merchandise Announcement Coming Soon!
We’re putting the finishing touches on the first range of Jamboree merchandise and we can’t wait to share it with you.
We’ll announce the first round of merchandise shortly, with pre-orders opening soon. This is a great opportunity to secure Jamboree gear ahead of the event.
