We’ve Got You Girl Extended Support Fund

GirlGuiding New Zealand is pleased to announce the launch of the new We’ve Got You Girl (WGYG) Extended Support Fund for 2025! 

This one-off fund is available for families and leaders to apply for. Applications are open from 25 November 2024 to 27 January 2025.   We are unable to accept late applications.

Important Details about the WGYG Extended Support Fund

• Funding Amount: Eligible applicants can receive a maximum of $440.00 (up to one year’s support) for 2025.
• Coverage: This one-off support fund applies to membership fees only; event fees are not covered and will need to be paid in full by the event close off date.
• Eligibility: The fund is open to both new and existing members with families who are experiencing hardship that is unlikely to change within the year. New members, please complete the enrolment form alongside your application. 
• Review Process: Applications will be reviewed carefully, and families notified of their application outcome as soon as possible after the application close date. While we aim to assist as many eligible families as possible, funding is limited and is not guaranteed.
• Application of Funds: Approved funds will be applied directly to member accounts at the beginning of each term in 2025. (Attendance checks may be conducted before funds are credited to ensure consistent and active participation.)

How to Apply

To apply, please complete the form below. Separate applications will need to be submitted for each member. 

When you apply, you will need to attach ONE of the following documents to your application:

• Your current Community Services Card OR
• A letter of support from your budgeting agency OR
• A letter of support from a respected leader from your community e.g. a unit leader, Kaumātua, teacher, religious leader etc (please see the attached template here, which can be downloaded and emailed/given to community leader to complete)
