Surf Smart was developed as part of an exciting partnership between the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and Symantec, one of the largest Internet security firms in the world.
Surf Smart is a non-formal education curriculum designed to inform young people about how to connect positively online, protect themselves from online threats and respect their rights and reputation on the internet.
The programme contains three sections, each filled with fun activities to learn about a specific aspect of online safety. Activities are designed to challenge, empower and encourage users to take responsibility and actively contribute to issues related to the online safety of themselves and others around them. Once you completed the three sections, you earn the Surf Smart badge.
Further information about Surf Smart and programme materials are available from the WAGGGS website.
