Jamboree - January 2027

Jamboree 2027 – An Unforgettable Adventure Awaits!

We are thrilled to announce that GirlGuiding New Zealand will be hosting a Jamboree from 14-20 January 2027 at the iconic Mystery Creek Event Centre, Ōhaupō, Waikato, central North Island, New Zealand! This is an incredible opportunity for girls, leaders, and volunteers to come together for a week of friendship, adventure, and new experiences.

For many rangatahi, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, a chance to meet peers from across Aotearoa – and beyond – while discovering new skills, building confidence, and creating memories that will last forever. While many of our leaders may have attended Jamborees in New Zealand and around the world, for the youth members this event is their chance to experience the excitement and magic of a large-scale gathering for the very first time. Leaders and volunteers will enjoy guiding, supporting, and sharing in this extraordinary journey alongside our rangatahi. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, participating in fun activities, or simply connecting around a campfire, Jamboree 2027 is set to be a celebration of everything that GirlGuiding New Zealand stands for.

Fundraising for Jamboree 2027

GirlGuiding New Zealand is a registered charity and must comply with the Charities Act 2014 and the Department of Internal Affairs. It is essential that all fundraising is used only for the purpose for which it was given. Even if funders do not request a detailed breakdown, we must still be able to account for how funds are spent.

Below are key points to support your fundraising efforts for attending the GirlGuiding New Zealand Jamboree 2027.

Before beginning any fundraising, please familiarise yourself with the following documents:

Fundraising as an Individual

Because funds raised will benefit an individual youth member (and their family), they cannot be raised under the name GirlGuiding New Zealand. Please ensure donors understand that contributions support an individual, not the organisation.

Fundraising for an individual is not covered by GirlGuiding New Zealand’s charitable status. Regardless of how the activity is described, it is not considered charitable if it benefits a specific person or group of individuals. Donors are effectively making a personal gift to the beneficiary. As a result:

  • Companies and donors cannot receive a tax donation receipt
  • Donors cannot claim tax credits for these contributions
