Girl Guiding Centres

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) has five World Centres that welcome Girl Guide and Girl Scout members from around the world.

Each centre offers opportunities for international friendship and education and the chance to learn about WAGGGS. All current members of GirlGuiding New Zealand are welcome to stay at the World Centres, either to attend an event or just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Sangam

Sangam World Centre was founded in 1966 and is located in Pune, India, on the banks of the Mula River.

Pax Lodge

Pax Lodge is situated in Hampstead, North London, 20 minutes by underground from the West End. Pax Lodge is set in the grounds of the Olave Centre which includes the World Bureau. They welcome individuals and small groups all year round. For more information visit the Pax Lodge website.

Our Chalet

Our Chalet is situated high up in the mountains on the outskirts of the beautiful Swiss Alpine village of Adelboden.

Our Chalet is ideally positioned close to the ski areas and the village with magnificent views of the mountains and easy access to a number of outdoor attractions and activities. In both summer and winter, Adelboden offers all kind of activities in the idyllic Swiss Alps.

Our Cabaña

Our Cabaña, the largest of the four world centres, is located 47 miles from Mexico City and two miles from the city of Cuernavaca. Our Cabaña offers a range of youth (13-18 years) and adult programmes to WAGGGS members.

KUSAFIRI

Kusafiri World Centre uses existing facilities to bring World Centre experiences to the Africa Region. The ‘centre’ has no fixed site, but changes location for every event, creating international experiences for girls and young women in countries in Africa.
