Join the Jamboree Girl Advisory Group

We are now calling for applications from current Guides and Rangers who are planning to attend Jamboree 2021 to join our Jamboree Girl Advisory Group. Your contribution through this group will help plan and deliver the GirlGuiding NZ Jamboree in January 2021!

How does it work?

It is important that you have the support of your parents/caregivers before applying for this role. You will need regular access to the internet and email as a member of the Jamboree Girl Advisory Group as we will meet predominantly through digital communications. These meetings will occur during the year to provide input into the planning processes and to develop elements of the programme for Jamboree 2021 that will be Girl-Led. You will discuss many different things during these meetings, and will be asked to give your opinion and the opinions of other girls in your unit and regional hub. At Jamboree 2021 you could be asked to speak to the media and/or be the face of the Jamboree in other ways. Please see here for a copy of the Role Description.

If you’d like to apply for the Jamboree Girl Advisory Group follow the steps below (make sure you do them in order).

Step One

Identify one leader and one fellow girl member to endorse your application. Provide them with the following link – Endorsement of Girl-Led Application – to complete their endorsement before you submit your application.

Step Two

Complete and submit the application form to [email protected]

Step Three

Make a short video (no more than 30 seconds in length) to answer the question:

Why I should be selected to be a member of the Jamboree Girl Advisory Group?
