SUMMARY:ROTORUA QUEEN’S GUIDE RETREAT 2022 – AN ANIMAL SAFARI
DESCRIPTION:CRITERIA: \nRangers who have achieved their Peak Award and who are aged 15 1/2 years at the time of the retreat are invited to apply for the upcoming Queen’s Guide Retreat. Participants take part in a variety of challenging and fun learning activities to extend their skills and knowledge in relation to team building\, community action\, self-evaluation\, Queen’s Guide Award recognition and joining networks. \nHOW TO APPLY: \nThere are a maximum number of places for each Queen’s Guide Retreat. Once accepted you will be sent an invite through OGM to the event. Priority is usually given to the older Rangers and/or Rangers who live closer to the location. We will advise those not selected and place their name on a waiting list. \nFull-time attendance is a requirement. \nCOST: \nThere is a cost of $150 per girl (including GST) to attend the Queen’s Guide Retreat. Travel costs to and from the retreat are additional and are at your own expense. During the week we will be visiting Wellington Chocolate Factory for a tour and the chance to make your own chocolate\, cook meals for the homeless and competing in a Masterchef competition. DESCRIPTION:The first of a series of modules to take your girls camping. After completing this module a leader can take girls to an overnight event organised by another provider. After an assessment indoor camp\, the leader can run their own indoor camps.
