DESCRIPTION:Start time: 9 am\, Sunday 28 February 2021  \nBe part of one of the world’s largest fun runs and New Zealand’s largest mass participation sporting event! The Ports of Auckland Round the Bays fun run attracts more than 29\,000 participants and you can be part of it and raise vital funds for GirlGuiding NZ!   \nWith an emphasis on fun\, the course promises entertainment to cheer you on along the way – whether you’re walking\, jogging or running the 8.4km route. The start is located at Quay Street and the course continues along Auckland’s Waitemata harbour to a spectacular finish at St Heliers Bay. Leave your headphones at home because the event organisers bring you music and entertainment every step of the way\, from the start line right through to the finish. DESCRIPTION:Learn to Tramp is a three-day Discovery event where girls that are keen to get involved in tramping but aren’t sure where to start\, or haven’t had the opportunity\, can come along and find out about the basics and do some fun walks while making new friends and seeing some of the beautiful scenery The Tararuas has to offer. You will be staying at Holdsworth Lodge for the Friday and Saturday night\, on Saturday you will do a day walk and then on the Sunday we will be tramping into Powell Hutt where you will stay for the night before making your way back to Holdsworth Lodge on the Monday. \n  \nFee: $240 Due by 7 December 2020. \nLocation: Holdsworth Lodge\, Mount Holdsworth Road\, Clareville 5791​ \nDate and times: 5 February 2021 (drop-off at 6.30pm\, dinner will be 7pm) – 8 February 2021 (pick-up at 3.30pm) \n  \nInvites will go out through OGM shortly. If you don’t receive this invite please email events@ggnz.org.nz. Please only accept this invite if you feel your child will be up to three days of tramping. While it is a Learn to Tramp Discovery it will still take some level of skill and fitness.  \n  \nFAQS: \n– When does the fee need to be paid by? This is due by 7 December 2020 \n– What happens if I don’t pay the full fee by 7 December 2020? Your child will be withdrawn from this event and her place will be given to a girl on the waitlist \n– Is travel to and from the venue arranged for me? No\, all travel to and from the venue is to be arranged by parents/caregivers. DESCRIPTION:Outdoor AdventurHers is a five-day Paddle and Rope Discovery event. As part of the week\, girls will be Abseiling\, Kayaking\, Paddle Boarding and Surfing. This is going to be an action packed week and is a fantastic opportunity for girls to try new activities and make new life-long friends. DESCRIPTION:Entries for the Wander Women Adventure Race in Tauranga are now open. \nThe Wander Women Adventure Race is created by women for women. It is a beginner-friendly race designed to empower women.  It is about accepting the challenge and then going out there and doing it. Most importantly it is about having that well-needed girl’s weekend away in a beautiful location. \nThe race will consist of 2 disciplines\, running or trekking and mountain biking over a 3 or 6-hour course. There will also be some fun and exciting mystery activities. \nThis is a navigational race in teams of four\, based on points. The team who gets the most amount of points in the fastest time wins. The idea is to complete the whole course to gain maximum points. \n“It’s really about empowering women and taking time for yourselves in an increasingly hectic world.  It’s having a fantastic weekend away with friends and forgetting about everything that needs to be done back in your everyday world.” \nAfter crossing the finish line\, Wander Women will meet a celebratory atmosphere\, with wine\, food stalls and live music – after all\, it is also about BALANCE. \nCheck it out on Facebook and at www.wanderwomen.co.nz \nAge \nThe Wander Women Race Team will consist of 4 fabulous women. You must be 13 years or older on race day.
