A fantastic opportunity to join our Guiding peers for a new inspiring Scout and Guide adventure in summer (NZ winter) 2020 where you will celebrate Scout and Guide values, strengthen our international community and provide young people with the opportunity to meet and learn from each other. 

Rangers aged 14-17 at the time of the event (born after July 26 2002 and before 2006), plus Adult Members 18+, are invited to join with Girl Guides Australia to attend EuroJam 2020, International Scout and Guide Jamboree, Gdańsk (Sobieszewo Island), Poland.

Every Scout and Guide possesses potential to become a driver of social change. You are invited to this Jamboree and discover their power! Scouts and Guides will inter-ACT with others of various cultures, of various languages, and various countries. You will learn through adventures, eye-opening discussions, and inspiring workshops. You will discover your power and find out where your helping hands are needed. Scouts and Guides will have a chance to ACT using their new skills and make change in society. 

Note: the main language used will be English.

Event Cost
Event fee (subject to exchange rate fluctuation) $550

This fee covers the programme fee, accommodation and meals throughout the event. 

Additional Costs

  • Airfares NZ – Sydney (approx. only) – NZ$600. Sydney – Gdansk (approx. only) – NZ$1600
    These are only an estimate; prices are subject to change due to increases and/or specials.
  • Accommodation in Sydney prior to departure (approx. only) – $120
  • International scarf – $27.00
  • GGNZ Administration charge – $150.00
  • Medical Certificate – cost to the participant if needed
  • Travel Insurance
  • Any additional travel before or after

Note: Payment for travel ex Sydney and event fee will be run through Girl Guides Australia’s international portal

Please note: Applications need to be with your Unit Team Leader at least two weeks before closing date.
Late applications cannot be accepted. Please let your Leader know to expect your application so endorsements can be provided in a timely manner.
