DESCRIPTION:*REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW FULL FOR THIS EVENT\, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO ON THE WAITLIST PLEASE EMAIL EVENTS@GGNZ.ORG.NZ* \nYou’re invited to the Learn to Tramp Discovery event for older Guides & Rangers!  \nLearn to Tramp is a three-day Discovery event where girls that are keen to get involved in tramping but aren’t sure where to start\, or haven’t had the opportunity\, can come along and find out about the basics and do some fun walks while making new friends and seeing some of the beautiful scenery The Rimutakas has to offer. We start with a night walk so have your head torch handy! It’s a lovely all-weather track and is extra fun to tramp at night time. We will have dinner as soon as we arrive at the hut. \nYou will be staying at Turere Lodge for the Friday and Saturday night\, on Saturday you will do a day walk and then on the Sunday we will be tramping back to the car park. \n                                                                                                                                                                                      \nFee: $240 Due by 20 March 2022. \nLocation: Catchpool Valley Car Park\, Wainuiomata \nDate and times: 20 May 2022 (drop-off at 4.30pm) – 22 May 2022 (pick-up at 3.00pm) \n                                                                                                                                                                                      \nFAQS: \n– When does the fee need to be paid by? This is due by 20 March 2022 \n– What happens if I don’t pay the full fee by 20 March 2022? Your child will be withdrawn from this event and her place will be given to a girl on the waitlist \n– Is travel to and from the venue arranged for me? No\, all travel to and from the venue is to be arranged by parents/caregivers. You will need to ensure you arrange to drop-off and pick-up your child yourself from Catchpool Valley Car park at the times stipulated above as this isn’t some that GirlGuiding NZ organise as a part of this event.  \n– What does the fee cover? This fee covers all associated tramping costs\, food and accommodation \nPlease note: this event is run through National Office\, therefore for any queries please email events@ggnz.org.nz. Invites have gone out through OGM\, if you didn’t receive one please email us and we can send one through.
