SUMMARY:You're invited to Journey 2022 - River and Land Riders!
DESCRIPTION:This Discovery event is a combination of two Ranger adventures originally meant for Journey 2022 – River Riders and Waitomo Blackout.  \nAs a part of this week\, you will have fun on the water by participating in Whitewater Rafting and River Crossings as well as some excitement on land by undertaking a Luge Ride and Go-Carting. There will also be some fun activities to complete at the campsite in the downtime. For the luge there is a minimum height of 1.1m\, please don’t accept the invite if your child won’t meet this height requirement or she will miss out on partaking in this activity. You will be camping in tents and helping with preparing your own meals. As per the original Ranger adventures\, there will be a requirement to bring a lightweight tent and/or a gas cooker and billy. \nPlease note: We have been advised by the providers who are helping to make this event possible that a condition of participation is for those aged 12+ to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. In accepting this invite you are confirming that you can provide evidence of vaccination. \n\nDate: 12 – 16 January 2022\nTime: Drop-off 2 pm 12 January 2022 (please have lunch prior to drop-off) Pick-up 11 am 16 January 2022\nLocation: Raroa Guide Hall\, 45 Stanmore Bay Road\, Whangaparaoa\, Auckland\nFee: $500 payable by 20 November 2021\n\nFAQs \n\nWho is invited to attend? \n\nAll Rangers who were originally on the River Riders and Waitomo Blackout Jamboree adventures have been given first option to attend. This has now been opened up to invite Guides aged 12+ and additional Rangers. \n\nWhat does the fee cover? \n\nThe fee covers all accommodation\, food and activity costs for the five days that your Ranger is in attendance. \n\nIs travel to and from the venue arranged for me? \n\nNo\, all travel to and from the venue prior to and at the end of the camp is to be arranged and paid for yourself. \n\nWhat happens if I don’t pay the full fee by 20 November? \n\nYou will be removed from the event and your place offered to someone on the waitlist. \n\nWill this be open to girls from other areas of the country? \n\nNo\, we will only be offering these Jamboree Discoveries to local girls in order to minimize any possible disruption due to Covid-19 border restrictions. Rangers from other areas of the country will be offered other opportunities. \nInvites have gone out through OGM for this. DESCRIPTION:This Discovery event is a combination of three Ranger adventures originally meant for Journey 2022 – Journey to the Depths\, Karapiro Adventure\, and Journey the Tongariro.  \nThis is going to be a wonderful event full of water and land-based activities including Kayaking\, Orienteering\, Rock Climbing\, and an evening following the Glow Worm trail.  \n\nDate: 12 – 16 January 2022\nTime: Drop-off 2 pm 12 January 2022 (please have lunch prior to drop-off) Pick-up 11 am 16 January 2022\nLocation: Kokako Lodge – 235 Falls Rd\, Auckland\nFee: $500 payable by 20 November 2021\n\nFAQs \n\nWho is invited to attend? \n\nAll Rangers who were originally on the Journey to the Depths\, Karapiro Adventure and Journey the Tongariro Jamboree adventures from Auckland have been given first option to attend. If there are further places available then these will be offered to additional Rangers from Auckland. DESCRIPTION:This Discovery event is a combination of two Ranger adventures originally meant for Journey 2022 – Zip to It and Rocking Raglan. \nAs a part of this week\, you will be going Zip Lining and doing a Bungee drop\, Rock Climbing\, and going to Adrenaline Forest. There is a minimum height requirement of 1.3m for Adrenalin Forest and the Zip Line\, plus a minimum weight requirement of 35kg for the Bungee drop\, so please don’t accept this invite if your Ranger doesn’t meet the height or weight requirements as she won’t be able to participate on the day. \nPlease note: We have been advised by the providers who are helping to make this event possible that a condition of participation is for those aged 12+ to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
